Recently we saw the premier of three exciting short films at the Vue Cinema at Glasgow Fort – although you may not recognised the names involved. To celebrate their one year anniversary the cinema asked budding writers from Aultmore Park Primary school to design a storyboard which would be made into a short film at be shown on the big screen.

Three winners were chosen from the entries and we were lucky enough to help make the storyboards become a reality. We helped produce our first ever musical called Ariana which shows two best friends battle it out at the school talent show.

We also assisted in an animated short called Princess Butterfly which gave us the chance to work directly with the children involved whilst they had a go at voice acting as butterflies and other characters in the story.

We also got the pleasure of watching the other film made called Minion vs. Minion from Quick Off the Mark Productions when we attended the premier.

Along with Motherwell based production company Futuristfilm Ltd. we spent time bringing the ideas of Sarah-Louise McKay, Kaidenn McNab, Bradley McConway, Keiran Graham and Nicole Grant to life so that they could watch their films along with the rest of the school when they were shown on the big screen. We had a wonderful time making the films as well as meeting all the creative young talent out there in Glasgow today.
