If you’re taking your business seriously then you’re probably sitting on bank of good quality video content.

Why not repurpose it to get real value for money?

According to the marketing rule of 7, people must see or hear your message at least seven times before they commit to purchasing what you’re selling.

So repurposing video content makes sense when you look at it that way, because you want to aim to reach new audiences but also the same audiences – but in new ways.

1. Make a highlight reel

Have you got a collection of great videos that are all worth watching?

Cut together a highlight reel that showcases snapshots of the best bits of each video to create a tantalising montage that will lead your viewer into watching more.

Make sure to include a call to action so that your intrigued viewer knows where to click to view the whole back catalogue!

2. Make a 60-second clip

Think of your social media platforms as another way to deliver the message of your most popular videos, but in a much shorter clip.

The best performing videos are normally around the 60-90 second mark so make it your mission to keep your clip as short as possible.

This way you can reach people who would never normally click through to you website (or YouTube or Vimeo) and still have an impact.

3. Write a blog post

Not everyone consumes video content consistently.

To reach those who prefer to read the written word, consider publishing a blog post inspired by one of your videos.

Not only will this give customers another way to access your content but it will add value, help improve your website authority and SEO on specific topics.

To make the most of this, write about a subject that you specialise in and that you know your target customers are already searching for online.

4. Make a blooper reel

Collect all the outtakes and funny behind the scenes moments to create a blooper reel or a making-of style video.

This gives you a chance to let your viewers see all the hard work that goes into creating content and also builds a more authentic connection with them.

Lifting the lid on your business in this way is an effective way to show personality and increase brand loyalty.

5. Make a podcast

Not everyone watches video all the time, and with busy lifestyles more and more people are opting to listen to podcasts to consume whilst they do other tasks like exercise or commute.

You can use podcast editing software Audacity to convert your video into audio file pretty easily, or let us do that for you

Add some music, an intro and an outro and you’ve got yourself a podcast episode!
