Our friends over at somehwhereto_re:store are launching, encouraging 16-25 year olds to get involved in creative projects. It’s a great program, with funding from the Big Lottery, so we’re giving them a wee push on our site for anyone who wants to find out more.

Here’s what they have to say about the project:

Last summer somewhereto_ launched re:store, a nationwide campaign to reclaim the high street, which saw creative pop-up spaces all over the country run by young people. Working in partnership with Depot Arts and The Concrete Garden, somewhereto_ has re:launched somewhereto_ re:store in The Imaginarium.

From December 2013 to May 2014 The Imaginarium will be refitted and a new programme of activity developed to engage 16-25 year olds in creative projects. The Imaginarium is free for 16-25 year olds to use in whatever way they want, from running their own workshops, realising enterprise or project ideas, exhibiting in the space or planning events.

If you’re 16-25 and want to get involved or use the space drop us an email and keep up to date following the links below. To register your interest in The Imaginarium and somewhereto_ re:store please fill out our 2 quick surveys and someone will be in touch:

If you would like to find out more about getting involved with The Imaginarium pop in for one of our weekly open sessions where you can chat with the staff and volunteers and see the space for yourself. Doors are open weekly on Mondays from 11am – 2pm from Monday 3rd February.

And join us for our somewhereto_ re:store re:launch party! Saturday 1st February, 2pm-7pm for a day of creative celebration with pop-up stalls, sample workshops, live music and arts performances.
