A training video series to introduce users to a new computer system. We were given access to the system so we could take screen captures of all the pages we needed. We then animated the still screen captures. This allowed us to ensure all scrolling and mouse movement is smooth and clear and to highlight relevant areas.

We also produced versions of the films dubbed in a number of European and Asian languages. For an example please see our French translation below.

Let's demystify the process of video production. We estimate this example to cost around £5-6k because we logged roughly:

2 days of production management which is high as we scripted and directed a presentation. As a ballpark we estimate 1/2 day management per day of shoot and edit. This could be higher for complex projects or lower if you can help with the creative or coordination. This includes scheduling, edit supervision and producing documentation such as risk assessments.

No shoot as this was post production only. We can work with assets our client provides such as images, logos and photos (lower budget), use assets from libraries of stock images, videos and graphics (medium budget) or design and produce original 2D / 3D animation (higher budget). Often we do a mix of all.

8 days of post production time. Generally the length of post production depends on the volume of footage, number of deliverable versions (eg social cuts) and rounds of revisions budgeted. This was not consecutive days as we leave gaps for client feedback.

Voiceover used to convey clear information. VO is very effective but requires actor fees as well as scripting, recording and editing time. We only suggest professional VO if there's not a more cost effective way to convey information such as interviews, on screen text or a recording provided by your team.

Animation / graphic design formed most of the post production. We can design simple titles or use stock animation as part of the edit process but where possible, as we did here, we suggest budgeting for original animation to elevate and brand any film.

We produced a series of five training films demonstrating how to use diagnostic instruments for key tests: Covid Ultra, Covid Ultra Pool, Covid RSV, HbA1c, and NT-proBNP. Each film combines newly captured 4K footage — filmed on-site at the client’s Stirling offices — with approved content from a previously produced CRP training film. The films were designed to deliver clear, step-by-step guidance for healthcare professionals, blending top-down and slider camera angles for clarity and visual interest.

We provided a team to shoot footage of Laura Sayers, an illustrator and paper artist, for Skillshare. Skillshare subsequently edited the footage into an educational film for their platform. Our filming approach involved capturing Laura's creative process from four distinct angles to ensure a comprehensive view of her work.

We used footage and images provided by The League of Cruel Sports and incorporated animation and strong music to convey the right tone of disgust and surprise that this still happens.
